Wooo- been workin' on this all week xDMecha! I felt like drawing him so I did :3
BEFORE those of you with a keen eye say something-
Yes. I know Mecha's design is actually off in several places. I didn't feel like drawing some things and just left them out. Artistic Licence?
Aanywho, this is another scene featuring Mecha from the note RP that and I are currently doing.
Here, Mecha had to go into the Shadow Realm to save hundreds of people's lives from being basically destroyed (again) and to protect them from the darkness of the realm. This worked because the Chaos Emerald at his chest destroyed the portal from the inside out- but destroyed him in the process :C
So, for now in the roleplay, he's 'dead'.
I really enjoyed working on this. I just love drawing Mecha x3 It's fun to bend his arms- since you don't have to worry about elbows |D Hope this looks alright though. He's 'supposed' to look like he's just about to be torn apart/explode due to the dark energy reacting negatively to the emerald.

Pretty cool. It's looks like explostion is just starting, it would have clearer what was happening to him if you had drawn it at a more advenence stage, however - once the context has been explained - it does look like he's being torn apart.

There's quite an interesting idea behind this. The rp sounds really exciting!
The lighting is looking very cool. And I love the colours you used! The solid, black shading gives nice contrast, and the reddish glow from the sparks is a nice effect. For some reason, I really like how you drew his right hand. XD

Anyways, GOSH THIS DRAWING IS EPIC! The shading is so realistically wonderful. o3o Even the sparks look real! You really got the lighting down pat! Also, the twisted pose gives a powerful emotional impact. I feel so bad for Mecha~ D'x
Once you two finish this roleplay, you should clean it up a bit and post it. I bet a lot of people would enjoy it!
