Description
Well since someone requested it and I guess my Mediafire upload got taken down from inactivity some time ago, this is an upload of all the Zelda related models and textures I have MADE MYSELF.ANYONE using my models or textures must give me credit stating that I MADE whatever you use, even if you modify it. You must also include a link to this deviation wherever you upload it as well as in the readme. I have hunted people down over my halo reach magnum and forced the website to take it down or change the description. I will be watching......
Filetypes:
Most of the model files are .max files meant for 3ds max 8 and most of the texture files are .psd files meant for Photoshop CS3. I Don't have Photoshop anymore so DO NOT contact me asking for different file formats. Most of the models (primarily finished ones) are also in .nif format for Oblivion with corresponding textures in .dds formet.
IMPORTANT!!!!! If a texture has a specular map it will be in the alpha of the normal map. The normal maps are marked with "_n" at the end of the filename.
What is included.
[!] indicates complete MODEL AND TEXTURE
[@] indicates incomplete MODEL
[#] indicates complete MODEL
[$] indicates model ONLY, no TEXTURE
[%] indicates it HAS UVW's
Armor
@$% Fierce Deity Armor *
@$ Heroes Clothes (Links tunic)
Shields
! Wind Waker Mirrorshield
#% Twilight Princess Hylian Shield
#% CUSTOM Royal Family Mirror Shield **
Weapons
! Twilight Princess Master Sword
! Twilight Princess Dark Link Master Sword
#$% CUSTOM "Triforce Imbued" Master Sword
#$% Twilight Princess Heroes bow with Quiver and Arrows
#% Lizafos Sword ***
$% Dark Fairy Blade
$ Darknut Sword
*Missing the head, but hair and hat are complete
**Normal Map bake model is incomplete and would have had clouds parting around the sun (sun would be at the very top in the center) on the top left and right corners. (Also, I know the sun is wonky in the model, IDKY though. Delete it lol.)
***The texture doesn't match the uvw's because after I had made the texture I decided to make the sheath as well since it was going in Oblivion, which has sheaths. I wanted the sheath and sword to be the same texture so I made edited the UVW's, but I never got around to making the new texture. You guys can figure out something to do I'm sure.
OLD MODELS I CONSIDER TO BE S#!% AND ONLY KEPT BECAUSE I'M A PACKRAT
(These are MODEL ONLY because I used random images for textures and am ashamed of that. Also, they were made for Morrowind, so the boots look like crap)

OoT Biggorons Sword w/ broken version

I have tried pepakura at one point, but I do not use it. Most of the files in the download are .max files, which is 3DSmax's main file format, just like .psd is photoshop's main format. You'll only be able to open them if you have 3DS max 8 or higher. I don't have time to open and resave all of them as .3ds and make sure the export settings work, so you'll need to find a way to open them. Some things don't translate properly to 3ds files anyway, like materials, so it's better this way. sorry.

What about GIMP? Would that have what you need?

Yeah it does, but after trying to make the texture in PDN I realized that I just don't have the passion to do it. That's why I don't make 3d stuff anymore. I enjoyed it before but after getting screwed over by Art Institutes and realizing I want to be an engineer I lost my interest in game art. Sorry, but I just don't have it in me anymore.

BTW, I can't understand why your Paint.net isn't opening psd files. I've got v3.5.10 and it's opening the psd with no problems.

I tried my hand at making a texture for it just now and there are just too many tools I don't have in paintdotnet that I RELIED on in photoshop. Sorry, but you'll need to get someone to finish up the normal map for it and make a diffuse. The back of the shield is where the normal map isn't finished. There should be opposite sides to the rivets that you see on the front on the back. There should also be rivets on the leather strap's metal pieces attaching it to the shield. Take a look at some reference pics and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I managed to get nif support for Gmax and I managed to convert the mesh. Check the pics in the links to see the result. Now all I need is a texture.

It's looking good. I'm a bit irked at how my lack of foresight allowed some seams in the normal map to appear, but then again this was like my third attempt at making a texture. Anyway, It's pretty easy to make an atleast decent looking texture as long as you have masks and groups. I'll see if paintdotnet has a plugin for that.

Blender has no Skyrim support, either. Looks like I'm going to have to find someone with 3dsMax. I can't get it as I'm not a student. And buying it at THAT price is out of the question.

Gmax doesn't seem to have any plugins for Skyrim, unfortunately. Maybe Blender?

sounds good. Let me know what happens. Also, I can't even open up my psd files to edit them in paintdotnet. the photoshop plugin isn't working. One of the things I used during all of my texture work was groups and masks. like, I'd start out with a plain color for the general area and fill the whole layer with it, lets say blue for the front of the shield. Put that in a group of it's own called Blue, make a mask for the group that prevents the blue from showing up anywhere it shouldn't, and make other layers in that group for highlights, darkened areas, scratches, dirt, different kinds of dirt, etc. I can't do that in paintdotnet

Unfortunately converting armor and shields is a bit more difficult than converting swords. All I needed for the sword was NifSkope. Converting a shield requires 3DSMax, which I don't have.

See if Gmax works. It's a free substitute to 3ds max and lots of plugins work for it.

Many of them seem to be asking where the shield is lol. You might want to link them to this page and tell them that it's only about half done. The shield still needs a diffuse texture and specular. It won't be too hard to make either one especially since you've got the normal map to help you texture. I would finish it if I could but I no longer have photoshop. I've got paintdotnet so I might be able to do SOMETHING. I'll let you know soon.

Sure thing, might be a while though, the mod adds a recreated Twilight Princess Hyrule to the game with a custom story line, we hope to have it done in about six months
