And, if you liked all the lazor chargin' from last page, this page is gonna blow your mind.

This is amazing man; that panel with Gyarados almost exploding as the solar beam erupts out of it, is nothing short of incredible. I love all those extreme high-contrast lightings you use, makes everything look so huge and badass. Valhalla emerging from that fire is just so fucking cool.
You're a (shoeless) god of these flash comics, I'm definitely hoping to see more of them next round :D

Actually, I have a good explanation for how that attack defeated houndoom. The solarbeam, crunch and leaf storm all hit the same spot, wearing down the poor houndoom. Also, I'm guessing by that point, valhalla was injured enough to activate overgrow.
Thanks! That panel with Valhalla coming out of the fire is probably my favorite drawing in this comic. And, you shall see soon what that solar beam is up to.

AWESOME! You never disappoint and go above and beyond! Solarbeams and the fire chargin was awesome! He evolved! You draw him awesomely cool, cool to see the cute little underdog "Big on the inside" become big on the outside as well. And the aftermatch was awesome, Rosie, Michie, Polli and 800 dollars worth of beer. The ending made it with the drunken slur catch phrase!

I loved the on-fire advantage of Solarbeam you gave Grotle. Also, The Cheerful Blastoise makes me laugh for some reason. XD
That reminds me, I got a Turtwig from Norway off the GTS a while ago, and had just evolved it into Grotle before I put it back in its box. I should really raise it some more. :>

yeah, I guessed you didn't want to confirm anything to maintain the cliff hanger effect, anyway awesome ending to an awesome event, I kinda feel sorry for the opponent now her entry wasn't bad either.
anyway speaking of the style of the comic, I've been experimenting with it too and I think this style would be easily integrated with sound (which is what I'm trying to do right now), I'll keep you updated on how it goes, because the addition of sound to these battles would just take it to a whole new level

I don't know about sound. The purpose of this new digital comic style is to avoid the gimmicks of digital comics of the past, which did include sound and animations.
This style is more focused on timing and hiding future panels from the readers peripherals.
so, if you want to try it out with sound, go ahead. It might turn out pretty awesome! But, I view this format more as a traditional comic, where things like sound FX are left to the imagination of the reader.

well that is true, but the way I saw it as a way to maximize potential of the comics in which control of time and space is granted to the creator as well as other advents and boons of digitalization are made possible, one of these would be sound, maybe when over done it would sound tacky and derived but a couple of right ones at specific moments could help add to the action.
I believe integration with other aspects of art would help (which includes animation) however you do have a point in which one needs to keep in mind that these are in fact comics, and comics build on the readers imagination in what goes on between panels in the gutters, which have now been stretched and controlled through this style, and sound or even animation would kill that aspect. so thanks for the input I'll defintely keep that in mind so as not to fall into the trap of the gimmick, the world doesn't need a comics "wii"

Thanks! Yeah, that poor dog got pretty messed up. That bar is actually based on a place in Portland with a very similar name, so, I had to borrow it.
The epic ideas come from inhaling paint fumes and regular sessions of head trauma.
