Sure. These are brushes for Photoshop - allowing you to paint digitally onto the computer. Just like an physical artist's brushes have different characteristics, different brushes in Photoshop will leave different marks on the screen. A brush in this sense is a predefined shape that you can download and use to leave an imprint on the digital canvas. These particular set of brushes have leave a light imprint with a rough texture and can be used to create different effects without the hassle of having to create those effects in Photoshop because they can be instantly applied. Photoshop comes with many default brushes created by Adobe but they are not always as useful as ones that you can create yourself.
