for my 2-D design class, I'm not that satisfied with the background, so I might touch that up, as well as the photo.

you really think the coloring is good? I think that the pores and background really need more work.
but thanks! When my class critiqed it they were really talking about it, of course the teacher was talking about how it creates such juxtapositions and all that stuff but it was certainly well recieved!

Yes, definitely.
The colors are very smooth and vivid and clear...whenever I paint, the colors look blotchy, and whenever I color with pencils, I can see the strokes. >.> That's why good coloring always impresses me.
