I think what might do for naming these weapons is basing it all on actual things.
Fusion = Torch Hammer, Rifle = Slap Rifle, Sniper = Line Rifle.
Pistol = Jammer Pistol, Shotgun = Stamp Rifle, Heavy Cannon = Wipe Cannon, Ordnance = Shutdown Hammer.
But then, there's the Vex Mythoclast / Myth Destroyer / Vex Destroyer, a Vex-manufactured rifle on-purposely given to Guardians.
Probably by far-future Vex (prior to complete mechanization, and are against the Vex that are fully mechanized. They war with them through the tools they made for us, the Guardians. The Mythoclast somehow fits the human hand, so my guess is exactly what is in these brackets).

That was a lot of words.
Those names sound really cool, but I decide what I call my weapons.
I have made other weapons for the Fallen and Hive.

Perhaps those Vex weapon names may apply to the Vex which, some-time, I would reforge in MY image, in powerpoint.
