just did some fast sketching last night and my boyfriend decided to get in on the fun! i know he's a good artist just by looking at his stick figures! but that's all he'll draw for me right now...i've never seen his other drawings yet..i'm hoping he'll start drawing and posting his pictures and photographs on DA one day! we had a good laugh doing this!
the other characters are ones created by my very beautiful and talented cousin she's the one who got me into drawing anime style from the very beginning and she's been my biggest inspiration since!
i usually dont dedicate sketches to people because i like to dedicate things that i put a lot of time and effort in, but i'm going to make an exception in this case ;D this is dedicated to as they are my rendition of her wonderful characters - kiki, kei, jei, and kuma
i had so much fun doing this aikochan! it's a big honor for me to get an art request from you! i hope i did your characters justice...this is also dedicated to since my boyfriend is one of her best friends
they met long before i came along and they're two of a kind - it's uncanny how alike they are - they're like the same person, just different genders! i love them both very much and have extreme amounts of fun and laughs whenever i'm with both of them! i thought you'd get a kick out of mitchell's doodles minami! dont worry! this wont be your actual dedication piccys! you will each get your own - one that i'll spend lots of time on and it will be inked and colored!
i'm sorry i've been MIA here lately, but i want to wish you all a wonderful friday!
and i'll try to write back to all of you as soon as i get a chance today or this weekend!

i actually used a victoria secret catalog for the girl's outfits and poses - it was the only "fashion" mag i had in my room - i used my cousin 's advice of using real life fashion models for poses and clothing!

Yeah, I have to say, it's the first Japanese talking stick-cat I've seen, pretty original
Oh, good idea, that's something I'll have to try, I'm pretty bad at poses and original clothing

fishing was great! i almost caught a really good fish! one that's good for eating! but he broke my line-he fought very hard and was preety strong! i caught more fish than i did last time, about 7! and the last one i hooked was a fairly big humhumu - hawaii's state fish...very preety ;D but i felt bad for catching him ;D i'll try to send you pictures soon!
i hope you enjoyed your weekend! even if it was only one day you had off...got lots of drawing done i hope!

mitchell used to draw dragon ball too! but he wont draw them for me ;D i also heard from that he's a great photographer but he doesnt have any of his pictures to show me...i'm hoping he'll start up with his art hobbies someday!
i used your old sketches as my reference! they were a big help! except i dont like how the guys turned out...jei's eyes look funny...

i havent made my reservations yet but it looks like the plan is i'm flying into oahu on friday the 2nd around 7 pm - the band is going to be in kapolei that day so i'm just going to hang down at the pagoda until they come back

As for references, Hmmmm I'll go look some things off. Try google Japanese or Chinese Stencils, or maybe Japanese washi paper. These are nice ideas for floral motifs. Sometimes I love just drawing flowers and foliage. People are fun but sometimes I need to try different things *(thus the fruity heads
Anyway, still am waiting to work on my journal. Maybe some weekend when I don't have an assignment due on Monday!

It's a very fun pic you have there! Yeah, scanning from pencil or very fine pen doesn't quite pick up all of the details.
And you would have laughed if you'd run into us at Ben Franklin last night. I bought nearly $100 in craft supplies! I'm going to be very, very busy!
It's quieted down here in minami-land just a bit, but it's still busier than I'm used to. Guess I'll just have to get used to this now. I'm getting excited about my 1K pageview thing. Looks like it might happen on my brithday, so I'll have two things to celebrate on that day! I hope that's what happens because I'm really antsy to put up the crochet project I made especially for the occasion. I'm doing a few more minis to add to the collection, too, since they've been very popular! Mom came up with a couple of ideas last night and I came up with a few more myself. Plus, I have to make a teddy bear for a friend's birthday next Tuesday, so my weekend is booked solid!

I've done worse than that at Ben Franklin before. This time I was buying all sort of pink fuzzy yarn for my Melville commission, and not all of those are inexpensive. He's going to look so cute, though.
