Description
School. is the pits. x_x To the people who told me that trying to take two AP sciences and 3 honors classes was suicide ---- I'm beginning to understand why. aaaagh. Never have I had so much homework! T_T Six classes. Six different assignments, all due the next day...*drowns in worksheets* I've been online a grand total of maybe 15 minutes this entire week. *flail* but you see, I am temporarily forgetting about my unfinished math homework and nice blank English worksheet so I can upload this for all you devArtlings to feast your eyes upon. so go ahead. feast. *pokejab*...Whenever I look at the gray fur detail in this picture, the words "salt and pepper" come to mind. o_O
Adobe Photoshop Elements, dunno how many hours. 10? yeah. 10 sounds good.
oh yes. If you haven't seen the movie "Hero" yet, go see it. and thanks for looking. I am pathetic and pageviews make me happy. 8D

I sat here staring at this for quite a while. 1.) Because it is utterly beautiful. 2.) Out of severe admiration. 3.) I couldn't really pick anything out that doesn't look.. real.
So, I came up with this. I could easily mistake this for a real photo. Easy. The fur is astonishing. You have done an excellent job. The only thing I can offer, after staring for a long time, keep this is mind, is the eyes don't have that vivid life in them that you see in a photograph. Don't take this the wrong way, this is incredible, no doubt about it. There is NOTHING wrong with this, but if you want to push the limits then this is what I suggest. In a photograph, and I'm sure you are reffing, normally you can see some type of life in the creature's eyes that is never captured in computer art. I think that this piece is capable of doing that. I am probably over-analyzing, but after I looked at this for a while I began to wonder what this wolf was looking at. The pupils seem black and empty, like someone bore a hole right to his head. I don't know what to offer you other than.. maybe, add more light reflection? I don't know. I just wonder so much what the wolf is looking at, where the life is. And, once again, I do hope you take this the right way and see that I am commenting on your ability to capture life. I feel like this is alive. You have a gift. Strive to push your limits.

awww...shucks...thanks. Long comments make my day. XD
Yeah, I agree with you regarding the black holes that are his (her? o_O) pupils. After I finished copying the eyes from the ref, I was thinking...wait...that's it? I think I even added some of my own...but I'll play with the highlights some more. In the photo, there are almost no highlights at all...but it still manages to look lifelike. *le twitch* I think I'll have to improvise with the highlights to make my own picture look better. But yeah. again. thanks so very muchly for all the kind words!

Looks a little wierd, but I can clearly see that you chose not to finish the [viewer's] left side. It looks great to me.

I chose not to finish it...because it's not finished yet. I still have to finish the rest of its head and a part of its body.

Woah. This is beautiful. I don't know, but I keep thinking the muzzle reminds me of dog structure, but maybe I'm just mixing canine features together. It's great.

Wow you must really have patience to do all the hairs one by one =O_O= The fur texture you have looks good :3 His eyes seem a bit too close together but if the face is filled out more that may help?
