It's really painful when your skin cracks. It's even more painful when the top layer of your skin is Innocence, hardens to act as body armour, and then gets shattered by a Level Two Akuma. Oops.I wanted to practice shadows and lighting and expressions. Since I haven't really done much monochrome before, that got thrown in as well :'D
It's hard to try and keep things simple when you wanna spruce up everything //mings
I was supposed to update Kira's DGM fanfiction Sunday but I got lazy with rereading for grammatical mistakes LOL. I'll try to update it later today //rolls away

LOL, I guess it depends on the type of pain you're able to handle xD For Kira, it's her entire epidermal layer of skin that's shattering lmao so it's all over her body and that shit don't heal quickly; 'course, no one can beat Allen in his type of pain holy shitznizzle.

Yeah, I have to agree with you on that. But the funny thing is when Kenna was at the Asian Branch to practice, Kanda keeps on calling her "nubs". (she literally has nubs for "hands" until she gets her Innocence back)

Hm, I think the expression is good overall, but... not quite intense enough? It doesn't look very real and a bit awkward, especially since I've just realized she looks sort of naked...

Uhhh, she doesn't ~look~ naked, she IS naked LOL. It symbolizes vulnerability and pushes the focus on the cracks in her skin Innocence xD Sorry if that makes you feel awk!

I doubt I'd be able to red-line it since I'm a hopeless case when it comes to expressions T u T So I can only give advice / opinions I guess? I think her eyebrows look almost relaxed, which make her expression just fearful or shocked and not quite in pain. Maybe if you draw more lines and exaggerate the frown it'd look more natural... and yeah, it'd look more real if her mouth open a bit wider, the corners tilting down would signal pain while tilting up would signal anger.

HMMM, yes I think I see what you're describing 'v' I always have trouble with eyebrows, especially since I've tried moving away from just simple lines and making them look more realistic //crais.
To be honest, all throughout working on this, I kept battling with either showing simply shock and fear or just pain xD Attempting to merge all three had me editing over and over again, and eventually I just gave up LOL.Β
