Description
Edit;; Nope, no luck. Didn't make it in, but that's alright. I can always use him for something else, haha.
Spark. His most used move. Leonel charges directly at the target surrounded by crackling blue electricity, with enough force to knock a equally-sized Pokémon back. It has a chance of leaving the opponent with paralysis.
Ice Fang. A move passed down to him from his father. Lunging forward, he bites down on the target with cold-infused fangs. Sometimes freezes the target into place and also has a small chance of making the foe flinch if used before the opponent's turn. Can conveniently be used to consume hot food without needing to wait for it to cool down.
Quick Attack. He tackles the target with all his speed, almost always catching the other by surprise. Leo's go-to move when in a pinch, but it's still fairly weak and mostly used as a last resort.
Charge. Staying in place instead of moving, Leonel charges electricity in his fur to double his Spark's power in the next turn. Not a commonly used move, since he leaves himself completely open to attacks when concentrating.
Born in the chilly city of Snowpoint, Leonel spent his childhood playing among the snow-covered trees and around the Snowpoint Temple far in the north of Sinnoh. The surrounding forest was like a playground to him; one of the few big and explorable areas in the isolated city. Being quite the adventurous little squirt, he rarely spent his time inside the small wooden house his family resided in.
Said family consisted of himself, his father, a Floatzel, and his mother, a Luxray. Both of his parents had been explorers back in the day, something Leo admired due to the vast amounts of stories they had to tell. He eagerly absorbed the tales of faraway regions and hidden locations his father and mother recounted during the frigid winters, when he preferred to stay inside rather than to challenge the harsh blizzards outside.
Time went on. However, his parents missed their earlier life of adventuring and after a tiny bit of persuading, they managed to convince Leonel to leave their home behind and venture out into the outside world once again. It was an exciting experience for Leonel, to say the least; he had never been away from his hometown until that day came.
Eventually, the travelling family happened upon a group of merchants, a small portion of them being old comrades of Leo's parents. They decided to join up with the crew, a decision that had them stuck together for a long time. Leonel surprisingly ended up becoming very close friends with Zephaniah the Houndour and Ren the Krookodile, some of the Pokémon in the group and his partners in justice/occasional health hazard. He shamefully picked up a few less than polite habits from both of them.
Years later, Leonel realised he was tiring of constantly being on the move. His adventurous spirit had been sated for the moment, and he wanted to find a nice place to settle down and live in for a while. After explaining his plan to his parents, and after pulling a few strings, they managed to help him gather enough money to get a good start on his new search. In no time flat, Leonel found himself on his way to the small and slightly rundown town of Pokette.
Unlike a good chunk of the rough 'n' rowdy travelers in the Merchant's Crew, Leonel is a jovial soul holding a calm, somewhat gentle air around him. Strangers know him as a polite, helpful and a bit humble 'mon, while the people he chooses to open up to will see a more playful and naive side of him.
That said, he is by no means a meek Skitty. While he isn't the person one would expect to be courageous and valiant, his curiosity often leads him into trouble and has helped him train away some of his fears. He is still only a Shinx, though; when scared, he tends to freeze on the spot like a Deerling in the headlights, only realising the danger when it might be too late.
He often gets riled up over small things, particularly when he knows he has done something wrong. Worry easily sets in and results in him frantically trying to set things right, often accidentally making hurt feelings worse in the process.
- Snowblown Scarf. Scarves of this sort were all the rage back in Snowpoint during his stay there. This one, having been almost too long for him to wear when he was younger, is now the perfect size. A gift given to him from his mother as a sort of "see you again someday"-gift, he has been taking care of it to the best of his ability.
- Orange Plaid Cabbie. Some shabby old thing he acquired on his travels. He's rarely seen without it on.
- Despite his best efforts, he often ends up phrasing his sentences as questions to reassure himself that he got whatever was said right. He can be a bit oblivious to when this happens, which sometimes annoys other 'mon. He does find it embarrassing whenever it's pointed out, but it always comes back to haunt him later.
- He is surprisingly good at fishing, a hobby he finds to be really fun and relaxing. If there's any lake, sea or river nearby he is sure to be trying the water with his fishing rod. It's a wonder he hasn't yet considered using his fishing skills as a means of earning Bells.
- He likes using mundane items (pebbles, bottle caps, coins and etc.) as toys when waiting and is always bound to be fidgeting with something.
- His favorite season is winter. If there is one thing he clearly remembers about Snowpoint, it's the blizzards and the deep snow on the roads. He doesn't mind the cold and enjoys going on long walks during less than pleasant weather.
- He has a huge weakness towards sweet stuff! Cake, chocolate, sweet berries, you name it. If it has sugar, he'll happily scarf down on it.
- He sometimes carries a pouch full of Bluk berries with him just to have something to snack on. Who knew those things could be so addicting?
- Leonel can play the mandolin! He absolutely adores music, and he incessantly begged Zephaniah to teach him how to play until the Dark Pokémon grudgingly gave in.
- He feels very uneasy when he's in a high position and avoids heights at all costs. However, when the topic is touched upon he vehemently denies it.

I admit, the opening time for the group came at a bit of a bad time for me. But hey, I still managed to make it in time! Hooray.
Feel free to point out any typos, because I think I might have missed some despite looking over this many times. I mean, they sneak in where ya least expect it...
If I make it into the group again, don't be afraid to ask for RPs! It's why we try to join, after all.

... Is it just me, or has it become a recurring theme that all of my characters that are related to lightning in some way have a hairtufft sticking up?

Ivy, Will, Thor and Leonel...when i now think about it, you're right.

That wasn't intentional, I swear!
I haven't noticed one on Alex (I just mistyped that as Axel, heh), but that's pretty cool. Making it bigger might be a good idea.

Yes. So I guess I'm either completely oblivious to obvious things... or maybe I just really like silly hairtuffts. (Both. Both is good. )
Alrighty. If ya ever submit the meme, I'm looking forward to it, haha.
