I can never come up with outfits. it's always like this: "he was wearing a nondescript shirt and some pants that were some color or another and OH yeah he's got like... a hat, and stuff... yeah... that's about right... maybe a jacket"
this looks great though! I'm getting emotionally invested in Tommy and I don't even like... know anything about him, so that's nice.

as a lil kid I used to really like drawing outfits and putting price tags on them
I once asked my mom to rate this one outfit I designed that I knew was crap, and she was like "10 out of 10" and I said "no u lying tell me what u really think" and she said "8 out of 10" and I was like "o.k. i'll redesign thank you for your cooperation"
basically I've always taken these things a bit too seriously
glad to hear that, I've planned his whole story too, but I don't know how to get from one point to another which is why chapter 2's rewrite is taking forever lol

oh that's cool! I've never been good at clothes. coming up with them or wearing them. my fashion sense is "how much black can I wear in one outfit?"

I'm not too crazy about this batch of clothes actually. I usually have a lot of better ideas in my head of what he could wear, but I guess I save all of those ideas for individual drawings, but then never draw them lol. and I've never actually drawn the clothes in this ref, and I don't plan to. I think my intent was to have this ref ready for art trades so I kept it simple? haha idk sorry for rambling
I guess I can just draw him and decide on his outfits on a case-by-case basis and not think about it too much, I really only disappointed that these refs were a waste of time lolll

oh i know what you mean; i like coming up with outfits per drawing, while using reoccurring themes (i.e. juniper is almost always wearing stripes LOL) although macie is one of my few characters with a set outfit ::^) (doesnt mean i wont draw her out of it eventually tho LOL)
the ref sheet is very clean and nice though! i like how you set it up/ dont think of it as a waste of time omg !!
