Became a HUGE FAN of 'THE THING' (just watched it last week) and I initialy wanted to make a poster on it.So bad they didn't go for a sequel. The 2011 prequel was some what OK, but I am
waiting for John Carpenter's Sequel. (Wikipedia did mention that Carpenter's
intension for an original sequel with Kurt Russell and Keith David)
"In that story, Carpenter would explain the age difference of the actors between the two installments by having frostbite on their face due to the elements until rescued. The assumption of the sequel would rely on a radio signal being successfully transmitted by Windows before Blair destroyed the communications room. Thus, after the explosion of the base camp, the rescue team would arrive and find MacReady and Childs still alive. Carpenter has not disclosed any other details."
This is my homage to that version.

If only... I'm still very patiently awaiting a sequel to this. Been a fan of this film since I was a wee thing. Would be amazing to see John Carpenter take another swing at this series and give us the sequel this movie so desperately deserves!
Great poster by the way; it keeps to the spirit of the original film. It also hits me rather hard in the feels that it is not an actual poster. ;A;

cool poster!... Im not sure if kurt rusell would ever make a thing 2 movie tho... he is too old already and I havent seen a new movie of him in and old time, maybe hes retired and living the good life, his times as an action movie hero r long time passed... also coz of his age it wouldnt be beliavable, how do u explain he got so old sitting in the antarctic? lol To be honest I actually loved the prequel I personally think that fits perfectly, the dog running through the snow, lars shotting at him from the helicopter, the two headed melted body in the snow... I also would like to see a sequel but I found it difficult... but hey... ridley scott finally made a prequel to alien retaking the his own creation after 33 years so who knows whats comming up

Awesome! The thing was just plain creepy, being that that beast could do....anything with the body it was give. Like, make a deadly sharp toothed mouth appear in the middle of someones chest.
