Description "You're not supposed to name it! ONCE YOU NAME IT, YOU START GETTING ATTACHED TO IT." -Mike Wazowski.

If you've checked back on the original sketch of these two, you'll notice it now says "OCs" and the word "Adoptable" is nowhere to be found.
And you'll also notice the sentence "THEY'RE MINE NOW."
Because when I make really good Sonic OCs for adoptables, I end up adopting them myself.

I swear that these guys really were going to start off as Sonic Zeti Adoptables, but I got to typing their story in the description, and then I got really invested in it with thinking of all the details, and then I even picked out voice actors for them.
Then over the past two days, I did what I usually do with OCs sometimes; imagine their scenarios where they fit in with canon, pretending like they're actually in the game/show/media that they're from, etc. And I just gave up.
So yes. These two are mine now. And it's funny, I usually keep my girl adoptables or ideas, so these two can finally join Ra in the "Male Sonic OC" category. In this, I fixed up Zion's right hand, because I really messed it up in the previous sketch (it was late, and it's late now.), and I forgot his claws, but I promise to get that. Zildebeest's arms are a little too long, but I'll adjust them in a later drawing. Who knows, you might even see a comic about how Zildebeest found Zion as a kid. ;D
Getting their color schemes down was a little difficult. The one hurdle I face is trying to find colors that don't resemble the original Deadly Six too closely, and don't resemble anyone else's Zeti OCs too closely (I mean, if it's a little close it shouldn't bother anyone).

Copypasta'd from the original sketch:
Zion and Zildebeest are Zeti that dwell in the more grassland Savannah-like region of the Desert Ruins. Zildebeest found Zion as a young orphaned Zeti and brought him up as his own son, and the two have been inseparable ever since. Despite being Zeti, both Zion and Zildebeest will not hesitate to deny any form of affiliation or alliance with the Deadly Six; rather, they attempt to be as neutral as possible unless someone or something innocent is in the way of the Six's wrath. To them, the Deadly Six are the lowest of the low.
Zion: Zion is a Zeti very much driven by his emotions, always wanting to do the right thing or to jump right into the fray despite Zildebeest's constant words of warning. His anger can get the best of him at times and it takes a little while for him to cool down. Even so, Zion is extremely compassionate to those in pain or need, though he tries not to be too gentle about it (and ultimately fails) as he wants to seem powerful and tough, something that his size fails to communicate. Zion is quite able-bodied enough to take on Zazz, Zeena, and Zor, though the other three of the Deadly Six are out of the question (due to the other three's size (Zomom), skill (Master Zik), or both (Zavok)). With his balance of an agile body and lion-like power, he's no joke.
Zildebeest: Once a great warrior of the Desert Ruins, Zildebeest is now just an old guy who wants nothing more than a little peace and quiet every now and then, something that he just can't seem to reach when Zion spots others in peril. This doesn't mean that he's not still the smash-and-slam fighter he used to be; his strength even matches that of Zavok, though the latter tends to prevail over the former (as Zildebeest's fighting relies on unrefined judo-like throws and bludgeoning, and Zavok's strength being honed by Master Zik's training would prove an advantage against Zildebeest). Even though Zildebeest tries to mind his own business, he'll end up following Zion into battle partly because he really does want to help others out... and partly to make sure that Zion doesn't do something stupid and get his ass kicked.
Voice Actors:
Zion: Dante Bosco
Zildebeest: Keith David

I like Zion's hair, eyebrows, anatomy and colour scheme and the pose and expression you've given him! I also like how he is balanced personality-wise and ability-wise.

Zildebeest looks pretty good; I like his pose and expression! He reminds me of Big the Cat because of how he wants to take it easy, his strength and how he follows Zion like Big followed Froggy so Zion stays out of trouble.

Nice work in all ChildofAura!

Thank you! It's hard to come up with color schemes and make sure that you're not ripping off someone else's Zeti. That's one thing I try to avoid the most.

I wouldn't quite say that Zildebeest is like Big. Big's personality of easy-going-ness is somewhat to the point of laziness. Zildebeest just wants a peaceful time where there isn't someone getting attacked. So it's more tranquility vs perpetual peace.

But thank you again!

You're welcome! I've seen a lot of Zeti OCs so I think I'm good when it comes to making my ones unique. I see and good for you.

Oh, my bad.

No worries! ^^
