Description
Decided to try out this three marker challenge everyone seems to be doing. It's where you have all your markers in one place, close your eyes, mix them up and pick three, then draw a picture with them.I actually picked three of my...least favorite colors. Brown, orangy-yellow and grey. But I was surprised that it turned out a lot better than I thought.
I was actually thinking of doing a picture similar to this in coffee.

Maybe you don't care for the colors but it turned out great.

Haha I just made one for myself (nobody suggested anything yet) and I decided to see if anyone else has done it apparently they have! Good job

Yeah, I asked people to suggest 3 things to draw for it, but nobody has ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I did draw minnie mouse though the colors are red, black, and peach/skin color so I guess it was obvious I needed to draw her

Wow, great job! Did the challenge let you sketch this beforehand, or did you have to freehand it all in marker from the start? (If so, I am severely impressed! )

Aah! Yes it did! I would have DIED otherwise. So, yeah, I sketched first. But I didn't use ink outlines like I usually do.

I definitely would have too! It's still quite something you came up with here!

Awesome! These colors are so warm and comfortable looking. Gives me that snug little coffee shop feeling. I like the slightly scratchy look to this, like it's one of those antique places in an old building.

Yeah. I was thinking that. A little hole-in-the-wall place that looks a bit shabby but makes great coffee.

Thank you. Yeah! I thought it sounded fun. I suppose you could do it with most any other type of art supply, like paint or colored pencil.

you're welcome. It would be fun but I'm into digital drawing. Maybe I have to think of something that would be similar like this, since photoshop have palettes too.

Really nice, these colors go nicely together~ I love her hair and outfit~ And it feels like she's sitting in a little bistro cafe in France. xD

That was EXACTLY what I had in mind! I was actually going to draw the Paris skyline on the facing page.

Wow, what an artsy feel this has! It looks like you have really good control using these markers, with the edges and everything. Especially considering you didn't start with lines, just the markers. I've never been this good with markers. Fantastic job!

Thank you very much! Not as much control as I like because they are made to bleed. But more than I thought I would.
Alcohol markers vs water-based markers really does make all the difference. But most of them are kind of spendy.

You're definitely welcome! Well, looks to me like you compensated for the bleed very well still.
Really? I never really used markers enough to realize there was that much difference. But my mom like to do coloring books sometimes, but I don't know the kind of markers she uses.

Thanks!
I didn't either until I tried copics for the first time. The difference really is amazing!

I never really colored much with marker. I had used colored pencils, but it's been years since I've even used them...
