Don't ask me what Rover did to deserve such a scolding. It could be anything from tracking mud onto the ship to not eating all his vegetables. Starship captain or no Nana's giving him a piece of her mind. Oh, and look out...she bites.

You caught that! Yep he basically had the Pirate Captain's boots to begin with then when I actually started giving him a back story I thought they should be cowboy boots.

That makes sense. Added to his other footwear in his wardrobe meme. I wondered about his shirt too. Doesn't seem to be buttons there. And doesn't look to be any division on his vest either. Is that just the way they are as futuristic clothing, or is it just easier to draw?

You said Nana's native language was a musical-sounding tongue? It could be the Galaxy's equivalent of Latin: a language presumed dead.

It really is dead. Her species were not space travelers. Just a group of woodland creatures on a planet that was visited by offworlders. She really is the last one. Her language is so ridiculously complicated that the translator can't make heads or tails of it. Which is why she speaks broken June Cluster standard. Presumably the language she learned from the planet's visitors.

All she needs to do now is act nice, take his hand...and squeeze it extra hard. While still being extra nice of course! I have a family friend, she's nearly 80, possibly only a foot taller than Nana, that's how she tells you off; with kindness and a vice-like grip

Nana is actually the cook and housekeeper of Rover's starship. She has taken it upon herself to look after both him and his crew. She's kind of like having a live-in grandma. But she's a feisty little thing.
