Description
This is a tornado. Look how close it came to my house. Instead of staying inside like a smart person would do i decided to go chase after it and get some pics.Related content

It's nice, isn't it, when the storm shows up for us to take a picture of it, instead of us having to go out and chase it down!
Assuming, of course, that the tornado knows to stay a respectful distance from our house...

Honestly, I would have done the same thing. Haha XD
Probably also because tornadoes are SO rare where I live.

Dude I get so paranoid during thunderstorms xD Whenever we have a tornado warning or watch I get really panicky and start hypervenilating a bit ha ha. I've learned to calm myself down...well a tiny bit.

I like the composition of the fence in this shot, it gives the picture a lot of movement. It even reflects the tornado a bit, kinda bendy.

We get hit by hurrincanes almost every year. A tornado rarly develops in out area (if they develop at all. So saddly we never seen one. Although I'm sure if we had a chance to see one the view woild be amazing.

yeah it was scary when I saw it come down because I didn't know which direction it would head. I took about 10 pictures of it, traveling right (if you imagined yourself from the perspective of the picture) so I ran along with it into my backyard, it lasted maybe 1 or 2 minutes, touched down for maybe 20 or so, then went back up. This picture was at its peak. There is a road that runs parallel along the side of my house, past the foilage you see in the picture, which was where It looked to be traveling along, maybe 150-200 yards from my house. It was sheer luck! I heard alot of thunder and went outside because I love to watch storms and it just happened to pop out of the clouds at the exact moment I went outside grabbed the dispobable and wasted the whole roll on it. Thanks for the comment!

I really like this shot.
Tornados are soooo scary to me, and theres this really bad storm hitting Chicago right now, so I searched 'tornado' to calm my fears.
It's not really working, but I like this picture, so .
