Description
The animation style Teen Titans (in my opinion the best), depicting scenes from their appearances in the New 52.Starfire: Portraying the scene that sparked one of the biggest controversies with DC Comics, but really, we've seen her naked so it's nothing new. But yes, I do not enjoy the new incarnation of Starfire because...........she has no soul. I mean it, nothing. Reading anything she says is like hearing it from a doll. A.......sex doll, if you will.
Raven: Making her unexpected first appearance in Phantom Stranger #1, yet now we see that they are just going to retell her same story with Trigon all over again. And believe me when I say this....Trigon's new look made me laugh my sides off.
Beast Boy and Terra: Appearing as part of the Culling, showing that DC was not soft on all of it's characters. Giving us two of the most useless changes in the reboot, Terra being brought back to life and Beast Boy being RED............ugh.....
Robin: Known by many readers as Nightwing right now, but I wanted to go with the #0 issue showing off his old Robin look with a new spin. And really I like the Dick Grayson's new Robin outfit, sadly we only see it once.
Cyborg: A change that even to this day I do not like, Cyborg with the Justice League. I love Cyborg, but I cannot see him with a big group like that. Yet we still see him as part of it so I may as well just get over it seeing is how DC will most likely not care what old readers think. But I digress.
The former Teen Titans belong to DC Comics.

To be honest with the last point... Cyborg's first animated appearance was with the League, not the Titans: You remember the Super Friends, right? After the Challenge of the Super Friends came two more series that phased off most of the Original Characters made for the series in favor of more official characters. During the last season, "The Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians", Cyborg was added as the new teenage attraction to the show alongside the also teenager Firestorm, who was added in the previous season "Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show". The last two seasons of HB's DC series were more serious than the original ones, thanks to Darkseid appearing in the Legendary Super Powers and becoming the main threat for the rest of the story.

Yeah... there are actually 4-5 eras of animated DC characters: Filmation Era is the original one, which was first New Adventures of Superman, then Superboy, then the Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure block, that included Superman (reruns+new), Superboy(same), Aquaman with Aqualad and the "guest segments" of The Atom, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Flash with Kid Flash, Justice League (technically a crossover of all the other segments) and the Teen Titans (which included the sidekicks of the segments, adding Speedy and Wonder Girl to fill up... yes, Wonder Woman and Green Arrow debuted on TV AFTER their wards), then the block splits with Aquaman in a half hour show with the guest segments from the Hour of Adventure and Superman and Superboy with Batman and Robin in the Superman/Batman Hour, only to finally have Batman go fully solo in his show. The second era, the Hanna-Barbera, as involves the Super Friends, mostly, as well as the first grand appearance of Wonder Woman. Third is the DCAU, which started with Batman: The Animated Series, then Superman, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, Zeta Project, finishing with the Justice League. Then it's the Millennium Era, which is all the shows after the end of the DCAU, like The Batman and the Legion of Super Heroes, Batman: The Brave and The Bold and etc., as well as the animated movies that came in. There's technically a 3.5 Era, but the only components are the Teen Titans and DC Nation, both of which are totally not part of the DCAU, but ran alongside it.

Starfire in the infamous pool scene: dislike.Β
Even one of the writers later admitted that how they handled that sequence was a mistake.Β He explained that from a narrative standpoint it was necessary to break up Kori and Dick (debatable...), but they could have and should have handled it better.Β And regardless, they should not have turned Kori into, well, what she became.Β Β There was talk, at the time, of simply writing Starfire out of the DC canon by having her return to her home planet and become one of it's rulers.Β That would have been a better exit than what she ended up with.Β Here also, YMMV.

Yeah, as "the Red" is the power source for beings with animal powers, like "the Green" is for plant based ones, but still, green is the iconic look for Beast Boy.

Cyborgs was part of the Justice League at one point too.
I think he was only a member during the time that batman had left the team which I suspect only lasted a month or two.

Even if it was given a backstory that for some reason relates to where Animal Man's powers come from, looking at it from an outside view, there really was no reason to change his skin color.

Welcome to comics. Creatively what's the point in doing anything with a character that's new? They decided it would be cool to tie certain characters together and they did. It's a pretty cool thing. Even Poison Ivy is tied to it.

I have to say thought they changed Trigon up alot but I love his new look in Teen Titans #16. I mean Raven's evil... again, I've never truly like Starfire, and red does not work with BB even if there is a story behind it. Cyborg's new design is awsome, but I don't like him with the JLA because he just doesn't seem to fit. Now with Nightwing they didn't do to bad, but Terra should have stayed dead.

Terra is the only reason I am reading any of the reboot at all. Terra II in the 90s--that is to say, Terra as she always should have been--was my girl, and her death at the hands of Black Adam in the "old" 52 is why I stopped buying DC in the first place. Well, the reason I finally stopped buying. I'd been gradually fading away from DC for years, because they've been treating their characters like crap for far too long, reboot or not.
But don't worry, they're already starting to flush her down the toilet again.

if u will indulge me for a moment as Damien Sandow would say heres my opinions on these six in order small problem to big flipping problem.
Raven I'm ok with the Trigon thing cuz shes my fav.
Cy I could see being in the JLA if other members of the TT were in their too, but I agree that he shines more in a smaller group.
now Starfire I could care less mainly cuz the cartoon ruined her for me cuz they made a sweet innocent idiot which from the comics that ive seen isnt here at all.
Robin with the exception of Terra is my least favorite titan and its the name that I hate Nightwing ok, Red Hood ok, but Robin unless its the girl variant I hate it with a passion.
now speaking of Terra I don't mind bringer her back hell I don't even mind giving her a Tron ripoff outfit, but her with BB again is where I draw the line I prefer BBRae and I doubt that will ever change.
now for my biggest problem with this BEAST BOY IS GREEN NOT RED!!!!!!!! first the make him look like the monkey kid from Jumanji and now he's red
ok enough ranting from me so........ You're Welcome.

I really hate the changes on the characters, with the exception of Nightwing and Cyborg.
Cyborg has a big development, I like it that he is in the big league now.
The only thing I hate about Nightwing is the change of costume color, red does not suit him.
Beast Boy is red. No.
Terra was never evil... DC, why?
Starfire is... well, you get the picture....
Raven, her name is Raven not Rachel, her origin story will be retold with the 100th time with some new twist I believe. Her new costume looks quite demonic... I don't like it!
Raven is my favorite character and she doesn't have her cloak anymore!

Beast Boys red due to Red Connection to the Red,another dimension that rule by animal creatures and powers from animals come from
Terra still has connection with Deathstroke.
Starfire a allien warrior and voice of reason and she feels like outsider being around most humansΒ (pretty much an alien Wonder Woman)
Raven, before new 52, she use Rachel RothΒ as secret identity to feel normal and do normal things like going to school and trying to normal life with Beast Boy. Her costume makes sense since she was Dark Raven under influence of her father Trigon, and now she even doesnt use her hood that much.

Her name was Rachel Roth as a normal teen going to school, her superhero name Raven.
They changed it to just purely Raven.
I miss Rachel Roth....
