I have been at makeup school for the last few months which is why I have been less active here, but I have finally made something which I feel like I can post with confidence. I really feel like I have made something beautiful here.EDIT: I am attending Vancouver Film School and this was part of a class where we did 'competition beauty' makeup. It has been an incredible year, and I'd do it again in a heart beat.

The hat is literally made out of some cut up cracker boxes, a hat-form, puzzle pieces that I picked up at a dollar store, and a LOT of hot glue, after I finished making the hat, I airbrushed the whole thing.

Very surreal. Reminds me of this one student in my graphic art beginners class who designed a mask out of puzzle pieces.
Every piece was hand cut by her. Anyways, good job.

I think it took about 2 hours from start to finish, but the hat itself took a good 4 hours.

I was trying to come up with a design that would qualify for a 'competition fantasy' style, I started with an idea for doing a 'pop-art' checkerboard idea, and it evolved from there.
