I think the original draft of Disney's Aladdin script featured Jasmine as much younger and much more of a spoiled brat!

I also remember episode of the TV show (that took place between the 2nd and 3rd movies) titled "Forget Me Lots." In that one, Jasmine loses her memory thanks to a magic flower and gets deceived into believing she's the daughter of Abis Mal and the evil Scourge of the Desert. She was actually quite a competent evil thief and combatant and her black costume was quite slick. Your piece reminded me of that!
