Hey guys!After getting to know the cartoon and UPA type of designs, I had to get familiar with the one which I think is hardest. THE REALISTIC animation style! So as always I had to take a TV show or a animated feature film with characters who had realistic proportions and without thinking I took my favorite Disney movie Tarzan. I have to admit this really really hard! I didn't taught how much work I would had to put in this assignment but I think made it trough pretty well.
I've decided to create a chubby variation of Tarzan or as some of my friends told me "Tarzan's older brother". His name is Karume witch means master in African.

I don't get it. It's somehow more realistic to make Tarzan fat and have slightly shorter hair? Why? Also, not all men can grow a full beard, and some take long before they do. So, not sure why it's not realistic to not have a full beard?

What they mean by realistic is in relation to the proportions. Compared to Adventure Time or the Simpsons, this character has more realistic proportions. It is harder because everyone knows what real humans look like. Anatomical problems can be far more easily noticed in this style versus a more cartoon style. It has nothing to do with body weight or hair growth.

This isn't based on Adventure Time or The Simpsons - this is clearly altering how Tarzan is like in the Disney movie to be more "realistic", so don't come with that fallacious bullshit.

What I love about this design is that he is still clearly strong, even with a bit of a belly which comes with age. Most people forget that strength doesn't have to mean abs and youth; an older man can still be strong but have all the muscle in his arms and legs. Well done, sir.
Also, his beard and moustache combo is amazing.
