Works when I try it. Might want to talk to DA support if it won't for you.

All these are really cool how you sketched them. I used the one where he looks like he's pointing to something for on of my characters i'm drawing. Thinking up poses is easy but drawing them is hard. Thank you for making these and sharing. It really helps.

Life drawing does help, especially gesture drawing where you're just quickly blocking in the forms. I do a lot of my sketching in ball point pen to force myself to keep drawing instead of going back and erasing. Or at least I did when I was drawing more.

Just requires observation and practice.

And if you don't sketch the pose out right the first time? So what? That's why it's called sketching. Just keep trying, the practice will be good for you and you'll learn what works for you.

Thanks I really like sketching. So i'm going to keep practicing.
Thats a good idea to practice with a pen. I erase Alot.

so this is like a reference sheet you use right? Also how did you come up with this many poses? Observation? Other references? Or just you just see it clearly in your head?

Combination observation, self posing and imagination. I played around with various poses for different pic ideas, I'd like them, but wouldn't always use them immediately. So, I figured I'd share.

interesting concept. having a useful reference like this might not be a bad idea. i have been trying to work on poses so i might take a leaf out of your notes and make my own pose sheet

Just keep practicing. Fill up pages and pages worth of gestures trying to get the poses in.

Life drawing classes will help too, especially gesture drawings from it. You'll start to understand how the body moves, its proportions and anatomy, and how it looks at certain points.

Reference can be good, but it usually only goes so far.

very true. that usually is the case. once you get to that point all you can do is take that leap of faith. very useful tips i'd have to find life drawing classes but i'll definitely try to make pages of poses
