Hi Everybody!

I'm back with some more of my takes on DC superheroes! And after wrapping up the Trinity, the next hero on the block is the one who can literally run past that block 100 times over! I'm of course talking about The Flash! The Scarlet Speedster! The Fastest Man Alive! I've always liked this guy when I was little, all smart and hyperactive and cocky, definitely a fun hero to follow. Plus, I remember watching a little bit of CW's Flash a long while ago, and I was impressed with how creative and unique his use of super speed can be. Phasing through walls, blasting lightning from his hands, moving so fast time practically stops! And after reading some of the comics and learning about the whole Speed Force, I'm easily convinced that he is up there with Superman as a certify powerhouse!

Okay, fanboying aside, when it came down to my design for him, I wanted something sleek and Flashy! (pun intended) I felt like his classic is good, but a bit bland. So, I jazzed things up a bit by adding a lot of Lightning markings around the arms and legs, some white accent coloring to compliment the yellow, a little dark red here and there, and a nice lightning streak down his helmet. It's a full body suit, complete with high-tech goggles, bolt-shaped earpieces that allow him to pick up radio transmissions, and shoes styled to adhere close to his feet and maintain grip and traction on whatever surface he's running on!

As for which version of Flash this is, I would this is Wally West. While Barry Allen's story is more well known, I feel like it has become a bit predictable and basic in recent years, especially with The Flash Movie that came out a while ago. (I did NOT watch it, but I know from fans and the internet that it's a BAD movie!). I wanted to make Wally the main Flash in my take on the Justice League for two reasons. One, he was Flash in the Justice League cartoon, so he'll take after a lot of that version of him. And two, more importantly, he's put through the ringer in the comics! From having and existential crisis in Heroes in Crisis (Very Confusing Comic, by the way) to being killed by a BULLET through some time manipulating nonsense, only to come back to life not to soon later.

Comics are weird to explain sometimes...
