Description
Just a simple shot of Alis, a character from my "Busty Elves In Peril" series. In retrospect, I wish I turned the eyes slightly more towards the camera, but what can ya do?
I got Poser Pro 2010 over the weekend, so here I was just taking it for a spin.

I think that the eyes are okay.As if she is thinking about something.Or someone. Not for me.

Actually just thinking of the eyes, I would have turned them down and away. Shows more emotion to me that way.

Very pretty, also the eyes not looking into the camera is cool- every now and then I get some good photos nailed when the model looks slightly off camera.

She appears to be a more human version of Alis. Even though she is still elven, she somehow looks different to how she used to look. It could just be my imagination but have you changed her character model much?
Her expression makes her look a lot like a girl I used to know. While Alis has different skin, hair and eye colours, her face is so similar it is uncanny.
As for Alis herself she appears to be in some far away place in her thoughts. She looks as if she is taking advantage of a quiet moment to think things through or to just indulge her imagination.
I really like her hair in this scene. It is such a lovely colour and style.

Same old Alis for the most part. The skin texture is likely a newer version (i.e. more photorealistic). Other than that, it might be better lighting and a new version of poser that helps here.

Nice work there
How is the new poser? any decent animation tools yet?
I've been waiting for them to implement some decent custom rigs as well as IK etc...

PoserPro 2010 is basically a combo of the toys of Poser 8 coupled with the 64 bit goodness of PoserPro7. As I only use poser (I know, lame), I don't have much to compare it to, so I'm afraid I'm not the best to speak to that. My understanding is that you can do custom rigging and create IK chains in poser (i've done IK chains, not much for rigging though), though I haven't hada chance to see if they've improved it over past versions.
What I do like about the new poser is the improvements to the Firefly render engine with the addition of indirect lighting (i.e. a better way to do ambient occlusion). You can get more realistic lighting, and you can turn objects into light sources (something poser wasn't very good at in past versions).
The lighting isn't quite up to snuff with some of the higher end tools, but it's getting harder to spot a poser render by the (poor) lighting alone, which is good.

Sounds interesting. I hadn't used poser since firefly was first introduced. I've always thought it would be a perfect studio tool if they would in-cooperate a decent animation system into it. Once they do that, with all of the assets and morphing tools it has, you could create beyond your imagination.
