A bit on the blurry side. I'm assuming you bumped up the resolution after you were done? Bad idea to be honest. I'm no painter with nebulae in photoshop, when I did them I did them using randomized abstract designs then filtered them till I was satisfied, or I used a program calledΒ Apophysis. What I do know about painting them is you want to start BIG. Real big. Things will look like clumped paint and such, but that's exactly why you start big. When you're satisfied with how it looks, you reduce the resolution until it sharpens up and blends together. Then do some minor tweaking with the blur/sharpen tool and others and then there you go.Β
This looks good for practice, but definitely start really big next time. Try to replicate what you did here just on a larger scale, then reduce it and see how it looks. Hope this helps.
