Description
Used the cut-off from the larger snowflakes to make these tiny ones. Names from top down, left to right are: Helicase, Mjolnir, Tang, Take Point, Radioactive Pinwheel and Web.Fullview is about actual size.
Time spent: Quickest was done in around thirty minutes (both sketching and cutting) and the longest was somewhere around two hours.

Wow!!! I make some of these too.. But I'm mostly just cutting designs from my head that I think would look somewhat nice.
But you actually sketch out what you want and everything, and look how awesome they turn out! 
I should try using some Xacto-Knife type-things, I've only used regular old scissors up until now.
Anyways, VERY COOL, love all your flakes, bravo!

Thinking back, I haven't made one by just hacking randomly with scissors for well over two years now. Sad thing is I think I spent more time sketching out these small ones than cutting them.

Well, I really should consider trying the whole sketching thing, if they can turn out as spectacular as yours do.
So, I'm wondering, by "sketching" do you mean that you fold the paper however many times, then mark where you're going to cut?
Or something far more complex?
I'm guessing it's more of the latter.

It is simply folding it up and drawing the design out. I like to colour in the 'scrap' areas too sometimes if it's a really crazy pattern. That way I'm less likely to mess it up when I cut it.

I think I'll try making one out of something bigger than a 3x3 notepad, and do what you do. See what I can get out of it.
