Description
Something so tiny, so small,
Crawling slowly, up the side of my wall.
It catches me by surprise,
I watch it, unmoving, with fear-filled eyes.
I feel it on me, climbing my arm,
If I leave it alone it will do me no harm.
But phobia has gripped me and I cannot avoid it,
So much smaller than me, I fear it I admit.
I find the nerve to sprint past,
Running forward, running fast.
I brush myself free, assured that it is there,
But just as I pull it off, I realize it's just a hair.
