Does it ever seem like prejudice against certain religions are the most overlooked, downplayed, ignored, or dismissed off hand? Some people bitch and whine about religion 24/7 and then squawk "persecution complex" the instant they're called out on their bullshit.And don't say christophobia or islamophobia don't exist because it's changeable. I could just as easily say the same about atheophobia.
Just because I get annoyed by it doesn't mean I think we're persecuted. On the contrary, that's the beauty of living where I do in America. If someone was openly Christian in certain countries, they'd get killed. Even though Christianity gets made fun of fairly often, there's no denying that we have it comparatively easy here.
Not to say that it hasn't happened whatsoever though. Hate crimes can happen to anyone.
