Practice practice practice and copy other people's
work until it comes naturally is how I keep it simple.
I think we are all on the same kind of journey, let me know if you
have any questions or something

i do, right now i am focusing on getting rid of same face syndrome though
after that i will work more on expressions a bit more
ok i'll just ask then
how do you make female faces look different from male ones?
that is my biggest issue right now

You can avoid same face syndrome by playing with the sizes of the
features. Just like in real life, everybody's uniqueness is the culmination of the
different sizes and shapes of our features.
I would start with imagining each feature as simple shapes, eyes can be circles,
nose a triangle, mouth a rectangle, etc.
Then play with the sizes and placements on the face. Sorry, I could go on and on but
also, you could type in "how to draw male and female faces" on Pinterest, hehe. Hope
this helps!!

Oh sorry and I just notice I didn't address the other question, to differentiate
male and female, females tend to have more supple features. Drawing rounder cheeks,
bigger eyes and lips, smaller mouth and nose will make it look like a girl. I think
dudes look more manly with angular jaws, bigger bushier eyebrows and more narrow squinty
eyes. Practice drawing them with no hair, its challenging but you'll get better, good luck!
