"Blast this summer storm...no warning at all!"

Esmeree scowled under her breath as she moved across the over-grown fields of grass.

Thankfully, Essy made sure Kiwi and the beeb brothers were inside before she went out searching for other victims of this horrendous storm.

It wasn't safe, of course she knew that, but she's had to rescue several animals on her land before because of these storms...

It didn't feel right not to look around.

"What in the-"

A strange, brown lump was seen in the distance, causing Essy to instinctively walk forward.

The rain started to pick back up as soon as the purple gro approached the unknown lump-

"By Chi!!" She shouted in disbelief.

A poor, young quad had passed out on a mound of grass, thankfully soft as to not cause serious head trauma, but they looked ill.

Brushing her questions off, Essy's motherly instincts kicked in.

And with all her strength, she managed to let the young gro hang onto her back.

This was painful for Essy, but she had no care for herself at the time as she started to trot back home.

Rain poured from the skies above, lighting booming and hissing from all directions...

"Shh, Kiwi. Let them sleep..."

A now dried off Essy stood at the doorway of her bedroom as she closed the door gingerly, allowing the mysterious stranger to rest off their sickness...

Its been a few hours since the rain started, seemingly with no end.

Of course, Esmeree wasn't going to neglect her guest, checking up on them now and again to wipe their nose or replace their rune of heat.

"M-maybe I should make more blankets! O-or perhaps some tea..."

Kiwi, sitting at his master's side, looked up with worry before letting out a yip.

Kneeling down, she smiled. "Sorry Kiwi...Mama's okay. I- just don't want them to suffer, that's all."

On que, Aster and Dianthus approached Essy- Well...Dianthus rolling to Essy before stopping with the aid of his blue brother.

"I know, everything will be okay, sweetpeas. Mama's just nervous..."

"How's about I tuck you three back to bed, hm? A second bedtime story will relax us."

Kiwi yipped in excitement while Aster and even Dianthus jumped in glee, following their Mama to the living room...

Essy...couldn't help but look back at her room.

She prayed this stranger doesn't decline...
