IΒ΄m personally not bothered by the "not here yet" meaning. He might not have thought about it,but more often than not authors tend to avoid answering stuff like that. He COULD have just answered just that: he hadnΒ΄t thought about it. That he even GAVE us a name...we should be really happy,doesnΒ΄t seem like heΒ΄s opposed to the idea of the little girl.

Recently, they asked Mashima if NaLu would be canon some day, and apparently he 'revealed' their kid's name: Nashi. What Mashima was actually saying is that it's not here yet, that he just hadn't thought about it xd.
So we all went crazy mode for the may-be-canon.
