Description
Blue steelSince there's always some questions popping up about the subject: Jin, my camera-loving dog, is still a red merle australian shepherd male (yes they come with tails).

Wow, he is gorgeous! And this is a well taken shot.
Currently I am practicing on drawing Australian Shepherds in a more realistic way and I am looking for poses they do and such. I was wondering if I could use some of your pics of Jin and his looks/poses for my study? Of coarse if I completely copy something into a drawing I will say where it was from and stuff! It's okay if not, I was just wondering

Does the standard lens take good quality zoom pictures? 0:

No it doesn't really take good pictures at all, haha... too dark and slow is the main issues, the standard lens has no zoom at all (the maximum of 55 is like a typical portrait lens), and this camera doesn't handle ISO very well either. I am pushing my materials to their very limits.

Oh, hm! Thanks for the info!
Any recommendation for a good quality camera, easy to use, decent zoom - for someone just starting out.
Say, under 600$?
I like to take a lot of pictures in the woods near dusk, mostly of my own dog, and I'd love the zoom for when I catch sight of wildlife.

Wish I had what you're describing haha, or anything with zoom to begin with. From what I've been told, the Nikon D90 is supposed to be a really nice allround camera. I think it comes with a decent zoom too. Not sure what the cost is though.
