Okay, I had wanted to do so much more with this, but because I decided to try something different with the lineart...I ran out of time. Life seems to get in the way of my art. XP That's what happens when I push things to the side for too long. Well anyway, I had wanted to do an Princess Tutu Edel that I don't think everyone is familiar with. The Edel from the manga was a completely different character. Of course since she is not as well know, I couldn't find any color references what so ever. XP Thus I borrowed anime Edel's color pattern. This was for the Edel contest for Club Tutu.Related content

Ooooh, now that's an interesting idea. The raven approaching Edel while she's a student at the academy, and then her becoming the "raven princess". I never thought of it like that.
I love how this tells a story, creating her character without words, and leaving us wondering what comes next.

That's what I was going for. I wish I hadn't started so late on it. I could have made it look much nicer, but I didn't get around to doing it until the end of the month so I kinda just went crazy with filters and things.

Well, you said it reminds you of the raven girl from the manga and that's who it was suppose to be, so yeah, I hoped she reminds you of her.

I have the manga, there are no color pictures of Edel! D: She was rather sexy, and kind of awesome, but the manga as a whole was a bit of a disappointment.

Thank you! Yeah, I was kinda surprised when I read the manga. They are completely different story lines. Manga Tutu sounded a little like Sailor Moon with her little phrase she would say every time she transformed. lol

It really was more of a typical magical girl story, especially with pretty much all of the fairytale elements pulled out and the main antagonist being removed completely.
