This film definitely deserves a spinoff sequel series (something in the shonen anime department). I don't how old it is. I don't care how obscure it is. You do not have the main character go through so much shit, turn out becoming something as shocking as.......that β, and just end it on such a bitter and contrived note.
The premise: A new protagonist (a boy around age 13-17-ish) find this wolf-ram (Chirin) wounded out in the fields, and takes him. After tending to his wound and washing his fleece back to its natural white color, the two of them become friends and go off on some adventure, where they kick butt (much like Toriko and Terry).
