Hey, there is no shame in that! I use references too, I combine them and such! It's better to use reference sheets and learn from them, all the artists do that. I have a friend who goes to an art academy and they still TRACE pictures of real life people, so don't even worry about using references There are great artists here on DeviantArt that offer their references, so they too know that it's a very good way to learn and improve your drawing . Remember: nobody is supposed to be good at something immediately. If they are, they are probably cheating about something XD
