Commission for Thanks for being an incredibly patient person ;u;

*start rant* This was a really huge undertaking for me as I'm the kind of artist who really does not like to do backgrounds. That said, I still wanted to improve on my backgrounds and so it really was a great opportunity to do yet another piece for Priceless911 . Thanks for coming back to me despite the wait time, I greatly appreciate it. This piece holds the record for the most amount of layers, no I refuse to count but let's say the scroll from top to bottom took awhile :'D

Aside from that, it really made me pay attention to detail. I had the problem of having the characters look like they weren't part of the background. Then I realised that my problem was because I did it in a way that the environment didn't respond to them and vice versa. The little hoof scuffs of dirt, their wet coat from being in the rain and etc really did help make it look like the characters are actually IN the environment which I lacked previously. I played with the colour tone a little as well, making Zecora mostly warm colours and everything else mostly cold colours. She's the light of somepony's life after all *end rant*
