From what I have seen, EQD's fanfic feature system is kinda unfair. People who know people who work on the site have a bigger chance of getting a feature, especially from the ones who reads the fanfics for quality control and stuff, because then you will most likely get noticed if they know about you. :I
I have worked hard to get where I am, and one day you will get too the attention and features you deserve.
