My contest submission for 's OC Princess contest. [link]
"A lady must maintain her poise", her mother always said.
On the outside, she's the picture of polished elegance, willful to the point of arrogance, but under that practiced front is a scared little girl, afraid to reach out, to depend on someone.
And thus she remains in limbo, the peacock princess and her armor of pride.

Lots of color pencils, even more 'washes' of pencilled color, and a beejeebus amount of time.
I think I had like....7 different colors for each of the tiny peacock feather alone.

You probably could - though the play would be more of darkness/light. Like pencil sketching, or charcoal.
I'm obsessive, I know - color pencilling makes me want to tear out my hair at times - so it's not the only way to use pencils, to be sure.

Details amazing. But the head seems to large for my taste. The interesting part are the peacock feathers on her head. They do seem a little apart from the entire costume after a while thought. I also noticed immediately that the drawing on that background seems out of place since the background more digital then the picture. The feathers on the bosom look great and it has a sexy exotic feel.

Its suiting to the theme. Perhaps make more of it and make it a little concentrated in one area, to give some sort of focal point or something.
