Description
"Best. Decision. Ever." Abbi smirked as she thought to herself about the genius move she had suggested to renovate a few apartments into a vacation-home suite, in an apartment building built on top of a downtown-Seattle Target location. "... Now if they'll just go 24 hours.... I'll be in heaven." Waddling off the elevator into the store, she pulled her iPhone out of her sweatshirt pocket and clicked the button, which displayed a picture of her and her belle lip-locked on New Years Eve.Sighing happily, she hovered her finger over the pad long enough to unlock the phone, and access her "shopping list". Once she opened it, she giggled when she saw a few "additions" put in by her girlfriend, namely... Wine, added in about 4 separate places. "Oh, Anna..... Never change." She thought to herself as she refreshed her memory with the list, and grabbed a cart.
Plodding along, she picked off the items one-by-one, lingering a bit long in both the snack aisle, and the fresh fruits and bread sections. Finally, with a cart full of what looked like "a war between a stoner and a health-nut", she began to linger, just wanting to look around at anything from bedsheets, to home decor, snapping a few pics to show to the "Ms." waiting for her upstairs.
Circling around to the movies... She couldn't help herself. Maneuvering her cart to the section she must have walked by 1,000 times by this point, she began to look over a small handful of movies, ones she had and had watched a hundred times... Even though she was dating the star of them.
But as she was looking over the small handful, a few of which showing the stars "growth" as an actress, her browsing was interrupted by a pair of teenage girls wandering over to the same spot. Politely moving back, she began to look at the other movies in the area, seeing if anything struck her fancy.
It was then that she heard one of them say, "Oh my God, I can't believe she let herself go like that... I mean seriously, why?" One girl, a redhead, obnoxiously blurted out as she picked up a copy of Pitch Perfect 2... Which showed off a picture of a noticeably fuller-figured "Beca" then was on the cover of the original movie.
"I know! I mean seriously, what guy's gonna wanna be with that whale!" The other girl, a brunette, replied in an equally obnoxious tone. Abbi, not a stranger to hearing such words about herself, let alone someone else, smirked and switched her phone back on.
"You have a couple of 'fans' of your new look down here looking at your PP2 cover.
Upstairs, sitting on the couch with a PS4 controller testing on her emerging thunder-thighs, sat her "girlfriend Anna".... Kendrick. Looking at her K/D for the Ground War Domination match she had just battled through, she smirked as she saw her meager, but decent 1.3 ratio on the screen.
Her moment of semi-triumph was cut short when her cell-phone vibrated on the table, causing her to jump slightly at the shrill tone. "Every damn time..." She said with a grin as she leaned over her fairly decent-sized stomach to retrieve the phone. Reading the message, she smirked ear-to-ear.
"Suppose they would want an autograph?
"Maybe, but I think the show would be the best part.
"Be down in a minute. Gotta find sweats." Anna texted before setting her phone down on the coffee-table and hefting herself up with an audible groan. "Man, I really am getting fat..." She said to herself, lips curled up in a cute but evil smile as she plodded along to their bedroom, shirt straining to hold her emerging breasts and certainly sizeable belly.
A meager walk and a few grunts of exasperation later, Anna had slipped on a pair of Juicy sweatpants, grabbed a matching sweatshirt, and was plodding along to the elevator.
"They still there?" She texted Abbi as she plodded along in her tight sweatsuit and flip-flops, getting a small, but partially vindictive sene of glee at what could be.
Back downstairs, Abbi was still wandering around, the two girls with movie in hand still making jokes about the more "ample" Anna. Feeling it buzz, she pulled out her phone and replied.
"Totes.
"K, Chloe.
"Only for you, Beca.
About a minute later, Abbi turned around to see a bright-pink sight plodding her way, hoodie pulled up over her head. "Wow, totes conspicuous...." Abbi teased as the pink-clad Anna approached her.
"Hey now, I'm still recognizable enough... So a girls gotta do what she's gotta do." Anna replied sweetly as she hugged Abbi. "Now, where are these girls?" Anna asked, devious smile spread across her lips.
"They're actually still over by the PP movies.... I think last I heard they were talking about how PP3 was going to be about Fat Amy being deposed by 'Fat Beca'." She said, half-joking.
"Sweetie, you gotta stop giving away the plot before the trailer comes out." She playfully snarled back. "Alright... Let's remix this business..." She quipped back, pulling from one of the plethora of over-quoted lines from her movies the pair couldn't resist from using.
Anna took a deep breath and plodded over to the pair of mouthy ladies. "Oh, excuse me guys... Let me just slip in here..." She said as she tried to reach through the pair of girls to pick up another movie close-by. "Yeah, sure." The redhead said, a bit bitchily, as she scoffed at the round, sweats-clad girl who stuck her arm through.
Reaching through, Anna tried her best to not-so-overtly squeeze through to get a better look, making sure it wasn't too obvious that she wasn't trying to avoid all contact. "Oops, excuse me!" She replied in semi-veiled mock sincerity as she situated herself infront of the pair standing there scoffing. Picking up the movie, she proceeded to pull off her hood, exposing her well-groomed brunette hair and lightly make-uped face.
"Hey, do you guys know if this movies any good?" She asked, showing the obscure movie to the pair of girls, who got a full, and not so subtle view of exactly who they were talking to.
"Uhhhhh.... Yeah, it's..... It's alright....." The brunette stammered, dumbfounded at who exactly she was talking to. "Yeah, yeah.... It's n-n-not bad...." The redhead stuttered, trying to save face just as much as her friend.
"Oh, well in that case, I'll move onto something else." She said with a bit of a plastered smile. "Oh, I'm sorry, how rude of me.... I'm Anna." She said with a smirk. "Oh, wait, I see you guys already know me..." She added, seeing the movie in the redhead's hands.
"Yes... I mean, yeah, we know who you are, Miss Kendrick." The redhead said, still a bit too star-struck to recall her criticisms. "Oh, awesome!" Anna said with a grin. "So, what'd you think of it? Or is this your first time watching it?" She asked, motioning to the Blu-Ray in her hands.
"Oh, it's.... It's great.... I guess I was just.... Well.... Surprised." The brunette strung together, her nerves getting the better of her. "Oh, really? I mean, it's impossible to top almost any movie... I mean, unless it's Star Wars... Ohmigod." She bantered on.
"True, but.... I guess.... And I'm sorry, but I can't believe you haven't heard this before... But what happened to you?" The redhead asked, senses regained enough to start to be her snarky, "well-meaning" self again.
"What happened to me?" Anna asked with a small glint of obliviousness. "Ohhhhhhh, you mean why did I let myself get fat?" She asked, equal-parts sincere and catty.
"Well, yeah..." The redhead agreed, blushing a bit in embarassment.
"Oh, that answer is simple. I met someone, fell in love.. And it turned out SHE was a great cook. And I just decided I would rather be fat and happy than thin and not happy." She said with a confident shrug. "Happiness is more important then following the latest magazine trend... Just to be told you're still not good enough. I'm already good enough for me, and my lover. So why stress it? I can be happy, fulfilled, and still eat dessert without guilt. It's a win-win."
The girls both looked at her a bit dumbfounded, but Anna could see a bit different look on the blondes face. It was a look of shock, and what seemed like relief. "Hey, actually... Sorry if this is super random, but I actually have an apartment upstairs with my Ms..... You guys wanna come upstairs and watch that? I promise not to give too much actors commentary." She offered, hoping at least the conflicted brunette would accept.
"Oh, I can't, sorry.... I actually have someplace to be this afternoon..." The redhead said, looking at the brunette.
"Actually... I'm free.... So I'd love to." The brunette replied a bit nervously, not making eye-contact with her friend.
"Awesome! I'll go track down Abbi, she's wandering around here somewhere, meet up by the elevators in about... 5 minutes?" Anna asked, smiling warmly.
"Sure, sounds good." The blonde said. "Oh, and by the way.... I'm Emily."
"Sounds awesome, Emily. And please, call me Anna." Anna kindly beamed. "Alright, I'll see you later. And nice to meet you too, sweetie." She said to the still semi-flustered redhead.
"Likewise." She said, acting polite in front of her.
Smiling wide, Anna plodded off to find Abbi, putting her good back up to cover her face. As she wandered away, she could hear the pair talking, namely the redhead chiding the brunette for accepting the offer, and she thought she heard a "do you wanna end up like her?!" uttered as a way to scare her. "Well, id rather her end up like me then like you..." She mused to herself as she wandered the aisles, finally finding Abbi in the books.
"How did I know I'd find you here?" Anna asked as she wandered up and latched onto the side of her belle, giving her a big hug.
"Well, when you dream of being an author since you were a little girl.... And your amazing girlfriend is writing her own book... You tend to wander the pages and dream." She replied, wrapping one of her own meaty arms around Anna.
"Awwwww, baby, my writing isn't half as good as yours... Trust me." She comforted her. "Especially your fan-fiction, involving a future-me..." She teased, slipping a hand down to rest it on her lover' expansive paunch, stealing a small squeeze with a smile.
"Well, I can't take allllll the credit. Every artist has her muse." Abbi sweetly gushed back as she leaned into squeeze her smaller, but feistier lover. "And I even get to make my muse into my writing.... Best thing ever."
Anna smiled and looked up. "You can't give me all the credit. We both know who the cook is in the family..." She teased.
"Guilty." Abbi smiled, squeezing her in tight. "But don't worry, we'll get ya caught up."
"Oh really now?" Anna said in mock protest. "I just don't know if I could handle that... I mean you'll have to roll me around everywhere!" She added, being playfully cruel with her imagery.
"Babe.... Are you trying to make me tackle you here in the New Youth Fiction section?" Abbi quipped back, biting her lip at the image.
"Of course not..." Anna replied with a smirk, before continuing, "just saying that if you keep cooking like this, and I keep eating it, I'm gonna be a blue paint job away from a shoo-in for the re-remake of Willy Wonka."
"You.... You don't play fair...." Abbi groaned back, teeth sinking deeper into her lip. "Better stop now, or we better take this upstairs." She added, looking down at her roly-poly par amour.
"Oh, crap.... Sorry. I forgot to tell you.... Remember those girls I just ambushed? Well, I think the brunette ones not as 'vicious' as he friend... And I kinda invited her up to watch Pitch Perfect 2 with us." Anna relayed.
"Oh really? Well, that's a relief... And darn, I guess I'll just have to go upstairs and whop together a few things.... Did she seem to be.... Glutton-friendly?" Abbi asked, evil glint in her eye.
"It's possible, and geez.... I swear I'm gonna have to chain you to the kitchen or you'll have the entire world too big to move...." Anna teased as she snuggled up again, looking up and craning her head upwards. "Just promise me one thing..." She added, lowering her voice to beckon her face down closer.
"What's that, babe?" Abbi asked as she stooped down closer, giving into the moment that was starting.
"Just make sure I'm #1 on the list..." Anna whispered before stealing a peck on the lips.
"Oh, sweetie, you're numbers 1-10... And eventually you may even stretch into the 20's." Abbi replied mushily, going back in an planting a quick peck in return.
The two sat there for a few seconds and just held the moment, but much too soon reality set-in, and they went back to looking at the magazine-section at the end of the aisle. "Ha, I wonder which magazine will call me for the next cover.... Do they make magazines for what we are?" Anna teased.
"Not yet, but when they do, they'll definitely need to make them wider." Abbi jested right back. "Especially if we both make the cover."
"Uh, 'scuse me... I'm an A-List actress... I don't share covers." She teased in a mock pretentious tone.
"Oh that I know, sweetie." Abbi jabbed back with a tongue wag.
"You bitch!" Anna playfully exclaimed, slapping Abbi gently on the arm.
The pair faded back into looking at magazines, and eventually started to double back through the movies on the way to the check-stands. Passing by, Abbi stopped and reached out to turn over a movie. It was one of her favorites, but also one that she really was emotionally "moved" by.
"What'd you just flip over?" Anna asked, a bit surprised at Abbi's sudden stop.
"Oh, it's... It's nothing... It's silly. Don't worry about it." Abbi tried to beg off.
"Well, now that you say that... That's exactly what I'm going to do." Anna replied in worried curiousity as she turned the movie back over. The back cover art was telling enough, but she turned it over to verify. "Wait, why did you turn one of MY movies over? Do you think I look ugly in the cover art or something?" She asked, a bit puzzled.
Abbi blushed and slumped her head. "No, no, trust me... That's nowhere near the truth.... It's just.... It's really embarrassing...." She said, face still flashing scarlet.
"Babe, you can tell me, I promise, I won't make fun of you." Anna said with a grin, caressing her large upper-arm.
"Ok, it's just... That is literally my favorite movie of yours.... But it was also the one that really kinda... I don't know... Emotionally wrecked me... For awhile." She admitted with a half-grin, making eye-contact. "Like I know it was a movie, and obviously not real... But to watch what happened to Cathy... Or you.... Just was one giant dagger in the heart... For a couple weeks. I know it's dumb, but every time I see it somewhere, I always turn it over like that... Because remembering how I felt watching that movie just comes back to me every time, like another knife to the chest."
Anna was visibly dumbfounded with her words. "Wait... You turn it over... Because of the.... Wow...." Anna said, blushing a bit herself.
"I know... It's really dumb, but I guess I just kinda was hurt to see YOU that hurt.... Even though it was fake. You did an amazing job." Abbi added, trying to lessen the tension in the conversation.
"Abigail, sweetheart.... Don't say it's dumb.... That is probably the sweetest, most just heart-warming thing I think anyone's ever said to me... So no, it's not dumb at all.... It's fucking amazing." Anna comforted her. "And tonight, after the movie... I'm gonna thank you properly for that...." She said with a mischiveous smirk, and a quick hug.

I hope you continue this, it's great! And that thin blonde/brunette girl (I was a little unclear on that point) seems like she might just have an inner fat girl ready to come out!

Just so you know, I still come back to this series of stories and re-read them now end then. I really hope you continue your Anna and Abbi stories some day. Especially this one. I'm curious to see if they can turn that nicer girl on to "life in the fat lane!"

Maybe not a proper "Part 2", but I do plan to kinda write lil segments in this overall story, in no real order.
