Fanart: Vincent Valentine from Final Fantasy VIIThis was from an OLD drawing, like from the beginning of this year. I have a lot of sketches that I planned to color, but got lazy and art blocked.
Not sure about this one. I don't like how the legs turned out. Lighting might be weird because backlighting is just so hard to figure out. >< Not sure about the clouds/sky too because for some reason they're hard to do.

Wow, this looks really nice. I really like the sharpness to it too especially the background. The mountains are so amazing. I think the clouds look pretty good. Way better than what I can do. They are so hard to paint. The coloring looks great. My favorite part is the cape at the bottom. I like how it's kinda rough and choppy there. Great composition with the angles. The only thing that kinda bothers me is that his legs is chopped off. This looks like a whole drawing so I think you should have completed his legs too. O yeah, I actually like the contrast between him and the background. Because he's so dark among the white snow, you can see how isolated he is.

I was surprised by how the mountains came out. A lot of it was fast scribbles and then fixed. Things turned out better when I didn't think too much about it. Yes, the legs, my weak point. I tried to creatively leave it out, but I guess it could be better by having the whole legs.

it brings out the rough edges of the rocky peaks well.
the composition also has a very interesting angle; just slightly tilted.
and yeah, with clouds they're very tricky to color. it doesn't look bad though.
but perhaps they should look fluffier or wispier.

Yeah, I had trouble on getting the clouds to look light and airy, but I will work on that for the future. Thanks for the suggestion.

I guess his right leg doesn't need to be so extended back, especially that he's just walking. Running, however, may look like that (with the calf upright). I'm guessing he's trekking through snow, right? If he is and it's daylight, his shadows don't have to be so harsh, unless you make the background light darker (more evening, no pretty sunset), then the colors will balance out, cuz he's shaded so dark but the bckgrnd is so bright. I hope that makes sense, just helping out

Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it. Yes, I guess I just got lazy with the legs. I always do. I get what you're saying about it not having to have harsh shadows. Now I know that I should pay attention to the environment too to help decide how I want it.
