The Ember of the Phantasms and Demons reality, Bellatrix Flamel (jury is still out for that being her actual name or just an alias to go by) or Firestarter attacked the city only to be stopped by Nick, who was curiously immune to the hypnotic powers her music brings into play. Intrigued by this immunity, Bella follows him and sees him transform, leading her to even more curiosity. Using her powers to assume human form, she now attends high school while harboring a growing crush on the resident hero. This is specifically her ghost form. The human guise is coming up for you guys soon.

Also, I like Bellatrix as a full name but mainly after the initial story beats she will be just Bella for most instances.
