i read some of the mlp comics but the characters where wrong, Pinkie was the smartest and Twilight was above average so i didn't get into it

I moslty remember the older story, so if when you finish up to a point or finish the newer one, feel free to chat if want about it. I'm not sure if I'd ever get up to reading it myself but would like to know what gets changed... hopefully its not a total redo that ruins the story, lulz.

lol... So I take it that Past Sins was made much more early into the series then thought...
So far as can tell Shining came in about season 2 with the "wedding" two-parter?
So then Past Sins I guess was wrote somewhere during season one like?
(it is an older fic so would make sense.)
Perhaps I need to look it up then at some point or see if there is a vid showing the differences.
Though not sure what he would have to do with it if not already there. Guess might be interesting to ask what his take on things in things might had been.?

makes sense. Nintendo sorta did a retcon with Metroid Prime for "Trilogy" on the Wii like that,
where its still mostly the same game from the GCN but they changed up a bit of the Logs to make it seem more like an overall flowing narative in the logs going from each game into the next.
*when you scan information that matters it gets put into a logbook, one for the Chozo race and one for the Space Pirates along with info about enemies.
So to tie in more with the sequals I guess it would make sense, if it is mostly just "adding" stuff in that could have fit anyway and not just outright saying 'this didnt happen' or 'now this happened instead of that' sort of stuff... lol, not a real big fan of that stuff.
Sounds interesting though. I really need to look up a good reading of it then when caught up on stuff.

That makes sense. A sort of pre-sequal adding in of details to make the sequal make more sense.
But overall did anything major change though? I think you said overall it is the same story and mostly just added Shining Armor to it. Can't remember if said any of the plot overall was changed.
(again, no concern for spoilers sence "read" the 1st version and im not a stickler about "spoilers")
But again, if dont feel like going into anything thats fine too. I might as said look it up as a lead into the sequal and as a refresher anyways, so no big.

so how keep track of the ones you really plan or intend to read next or to 'read later' not as in a hundred years from now? (lol) Just randomly look through the list when up for the next, or do you use different "selves" to keep track of them? Like, the 'dark fics', 'slice of life', and 'shipping' so forth, or just perhaps one for "high priority" and "backups", the rest just fall where may?
