I have an idea: Maybe you could make a series of Sequences, starting off with aΒ Female Chromian, that starts absorbing humans, keeping a slight trait with each consumption (e.g. it absorbs a black haired man, with glasses and T-Shirt, and it keeps the trait of his glasses, in its form) I hope this made sense.

So are there distinct male and female chromi or are they asexual before taking on another creature's form?

in ancient times the were hermaphrodites, now there are distinct male and female chromi.

I know that it would be possible and all, but...

Well I guess that always could happen... Well do you plan to do more with this male chromian or keep it a one time thing? (personally I would prefer the last option)

will I focus on the male Chromians? no. Will you see them again in the future? yes, but not nearly as much.
