oh you mean the manufactured boybands and girl groups and such? well yeah but that's not the fault of the genre, just those corporations. Every genre has it's fair share of manufaction, pop just seems to have more. Then again I'm no expert on music, i just have no preference really.

I find that a lot of pop music is like that, and much of the rest is hacks who think they're a lot better at song-writing than they really are.

no seriously, every time I ever see anybody talk about kinds of music it always devolves into hatred of the other kind, doesn't matter what it is. "Oh yeah well (insert genre here) is just a bunch crap made by idiots (swear word this, swear word that)" like 9/10 times, I don't get it lol.
