Hi there! This looks amazing already, can't wait to see the final piece!
I want to ask you, do you use the brush for blending only small areas, such as the lips or is it useful also for large areas? I never tried using a brush but it seems to me that you can achieve very smooth blending with it, is that correct?

hi! yea thank! i guess i can finish it by this year o.O... another 30hrs expected to go...
regarding blending problem...
the answer is NO! haha
most areas are blended with paper stump (some call it Q-tip?) and cotton
i would say that i use paper stump and pencil together to "color" the area and the dry brush is to create smooth texture.
as an example, drawing dark hair. U draw the lines with 2B mechanical pencil which is easy to be blended by paper stump or finger. but u want to fill in the empty area between the hair, but u dont want to blur the pencil lines, dry brush will be a good choice. just brush the areas parallel to the lines, u will find the line become sharp and clean, and the empty areas are filled with light grey (some darkness about 2H i guess)
so what's so special about brush is, it doesn't blur your lines, but efficiently fill in the empty areas.
my english sucks... hope you can understand haha

Take care!

the fact alone that you are able to draw something this big, this well, in pencil amazes me. with the surface area of the pencil being so small, I've always found drawing big scenes to be astonishingly difficult, even with the help of a paintbrush with water (which is what i assume you have there) to spread it around.
frankly, it looks beatiful to me; you could have told me that it was a final peice, and I would have been none the wiser... though I can think of a few things (nitpicks, really) if you really want to hear them. First off, I don't know if this is just because it's unfinished or not, but her pupils look very wide (especially the one on the lighter side of her face) for the lighting that she is in. It looks slightly unnatural, but I guess you could easily explain it away by saying that she's wearing contacts, or that she just put drops in her eyes.
The other thing, is that her nose looks a little lopsided. I think this is because one of her nostrils is bigger than the other, even if the rest of the face is in a complete profile...
But as I said before, those are just nitpicks: this is really a fantastic peice.
