Description Daisy the Hen -made from an Alan Dart pattern, although instead of holding little chickens I made Daisy so that she was knitting instead. She was made in honour of my old white hen. I knitted this a little while ago, and it was my first knitted toy at the time (as well as my first crack at fair isle).

Well done! I love chicken and have collected antique china/porcelain/earthware chickens for decades. Even bought an antique curio cabinet for proper displays and I love knitting as well, made my children vests/sweaters/hats/blankets/cardigans/stuffed animals/pillows...when they were young...

Thank you for your wonderful comment and the fave! Nice to know I have a fellow collector of chickens - I have several porcelain and wooden ones. 


I was blessed, too, that my Mum knitted lots for me when I was a child. I've only just realised how lucky I was talking to people who've never had a hand-knit in their lives! it's a wonderful memory to have.
