Beautifully done! I love the top part of female Ranma's hair! It makes her look more vibrant and alive.
Like you, this series was my introduction to the manga world. It was my first manga ever and my second anime (before I knew that it was called anime).

There is a difference between the top part of the hair?! Other then one being black and the other red... XD
Seeing as both male and female Ranma always look pretty much identical, except for height and hair colour differences.

Oh that was a reference to the 2 pictures he presented me. One picture was with male Ranma in a long version of the the cheongsam, in that picture his female form had darker hair all around unlike this version with bright vibrant hair.
