Been wanting to get these two drawn for a long time.. I had an idea for Ruby, but nothing for Peridot, but with the help of my Sibs RaveMunch , I was able to get a solid design for her that I love.. X3Their hair is far from the cannon Ruby and Peridot because of the types of personalities that they have.. Both of these gems loathe Homeworld, so they took forms that looked far from the average looks of similar gems to them.. So they don't have to be reminded of who they used to be
Long story short, Peridot was a high ranking gem (Being a little taller than other Peridots) and was assigned a Personal Ruby Guard when she went near a battle field.. She hand picked her Ruby, looking for a gem who was independent and strong willed.. Which was Ruby
Ruby is a shy gem.. They are soft spoken and usually keep to themselves, but when they do speak their mind, they are strong and determined.. They were shocked at first when they were chosen by Peridot, but took on their role fairly quickly and doesn't want to leave her side
When they broke free from Homeworld and crashed their small ship on a stray asteroid, Peridot lost all hope in being free.. She had nothing left.. Or so she thought.. Ruby comforted her and told her they would always be together and they would find a way to fix their ship.. Encouraged, the two of them managed to find a way off the asteroid and traveled the stars.. Peridot only has Ruby now.. They are never apart
When they fully trusted and loved one another, Peridot and Ruby fused into a gem known as Zoisite.. They traveled the galaxy as one, not really seeing the need to be apart
As of right now, I have no set design for Zoisite.. All I know is that they are humanoid like Garnet, hair over one side of their face like my Ruby, and three eyes (Two hidden under their hair)
Also, Peridot goes by She/Her pronouns and Ruby and Zoisite go by They/Them
