Tablet penss aren't supposed to have batteries from what I've heard. My graphire doesnt have one and its pretty ancient compared to the Bamboo. I need to replace this thing anyway since the pen is kinda broken, it fell on the floor, and the middle button (forgot the functions but where pretty good), fell off, and left a hole, now I just have patched it up with scotch tape and cotton paper
