Sliced apple I made in 3dsmax, rendered in vRay. Textures in Photoshop. No post-production.Update (1/19/07): Print now available!!!

How/where did you get the textures? I don't really know how to make them in Photoshop and I can never find a good one online

It's really a blend of textures I found online and the main is a pic from my digicam. sometimes when you can't find a good one online, you have to go out and get it yourself

i like the concept but theres sumin bout apple material, bit too much specular or sumin,i cant quite place what it is.still,i like it

I can... The surface of the apple has a very small bump map on it. You need to make the apple more smooth. Maybe try making the bump map MUCH larger. It looks kinda like it has been gritblasted. You will probably find that you have too much reflection going on afterwards. Thats a guess. I like it though or I would have not said anything... HEHE Very nice job indeed...

Yes I think it is looking much better. Maybe some light reflection on it from the HDRI or even an omni light reflection. It looks as though your using an HDRI not sure though. I would move some of the slices so it dont look so perfect. But you know its all user prefs. I still like it very much. Great job! Lets see more...

thanks for the tip, I'll try that later on tonight. I'll try an even smaller bump map and then a really HUGE one, if any of them come out really good, I'll upload/change the pic on here. I'll also try to lower the spec on the apple. Thanks!!
