great work Chris! the colors look dead on. and the helmet is awesome. the grunge and texture is well done. though the preds left leg seems a bit bare. i think its missing some of those brown spot. that part sticks out to me. the angle is awesome!

Yeh. Actually, I had some brown spots painted on there, but I took 'em back off cuz I really wanted that knee to look punched-out.

well done chris!!!
great use of textures.
I would've detailed the gauntlets a bit more, and done a burn on the grass instead of laying the color over it, but that's minor.
Wonderful work, great perspective choice, give it that perfect mood.

Came out pretty damn well. I don't quite think the floor matches up with the perspective BUT then again its almost 4 in the morning @_@ Nice skin textures.

You have very characteristic style of coloring man :} I luv the way you did the armor (those scratches and rot stains r0x!) and the skin pattern! But there is something wrong with his right hand - it looks like fingers get through his leg (?)
Anyway you did a really good job !

He's not tracking a trophy...
He's tracking the bastard that stole his copy of AvP2...
Hence, tracking the game.

Hey, this was the sketch 'Bird's eye predator'- right?
Eitherway, this is really cool! ....though, considering the location of the blood, I betcha it's the prey that's watching him from up in a tree or something...That's awesome.

I liiiiiiike the angle of view you chose
I like the look of the bones in his knees, and the damaged metal texture you gave to the top of his helmet plate
He must be tracking me

Great Perspective. I love imagry that makes your mind work. Since i'm not a seasoned Pred fan they still freak me out! I love the feel of a confident warrior bound to it's prey. Yeah, i wouldn't want this thing after me that's for sure!

Only, his shadow looks more an impression in the grass than a shadow.

chrisbeaver In reply to Trekkie5000 [2004-12-04 19:52:23 +0000 UTC]
Yeah... The grass really complicated it, cus I had to cast the shadow onto the ground underneath the grass then try to apply it over the grass itself, cuz it would'v looks halfassed if I tried to just tread the grass as a 2-d surface Guess I'll have to reassess my plan for the next pic I try grass on.
